Why Not a Mandatory Course for All Drivers – Letter
WOW WOW WOW – can’t believe what I learnt from this program about road safety – I looked forward to each week to hear more – I am such a better driver now and aware of all the offences out there – brilliant, fantastic set up, professional, staff helpful and pleasant – not embarrassing to be there at all which I thought it would be – can understand why this program is supported by the Magistrates of Queensland – glad I did it. Trust me this is the best program/course I have ever done.

Another Life Saved
The Queensland Traffic Offenders Program is something that will impact me for the rest of my life. I think about what I have discovered from it every time I drive my car or when I am a passenger in someone else’s. I made the decision to hold my mobile phone merely for a phone call but did not think of the possible repercussions of my actions. Being in the program has shown me what could have happened if that distraction caused a car crash. My one decision could have affected the lives of approximately 150 people. First responders, emergency services, other drivers on the road, family and friends, who are all innocent people that may have had to view a fatality or more. Everyone should think about that before they choose to make the wrong decision. The traumatising car crash photos I viewed in one class are forever engraved in my mind, to such a degree that those alone were enough for me to make sure I always follow the road rules and am in complete control of my vehicle at all times. I may not be able to take back my actions but I can prevent them from ever happening again and have been doing so since I was pulled over. Not only has this program helped me but I have taken what I have learnt and shared it among family and friends so that they become more responsible drivers as well. I hope one day that this program becomes mandatory for licence holders as I am certain it will better a lot of drivers, and in effect reduce fatalities on the roads each year.

I’ve just completed this 3 night program and was very impressed, very professional! It makes you very aware of the implications that can occur through various traffic offences. The presenters were knowledgeable, providing the hard facts necessary in a program such as this. We thank them for taking time out of their private lives to support QTop. Lara as coordinator was very helpful, happy to provide assistance if required. This is a program that should be attended by all road users not only traffic offenders.

Feedback to QTOP
”The class was extremely well organised. All the staff were professional, well-mannered and did not make me feel uncomfortable or bullied or individually targeted which was great considering the already stressful times not only myself but all other participants are going through. I highly recommend the course to anyone at all. I’ve recommended for friends and family, simply for a massive eye opener it has been myself. Time and money well spent! If there was some possible way for anyone doing a licence test in Australia to be able to have to sit this course mandatory, I personally believe that the reality of this very QTOP course could potentially reduce the number of deaths on our Australian roads by seeing and hearing things we not only haven’t seen or heard but also that we are sheltered from by the media and fear of it being too confronting. Why is this, it is reality. Now that I have seen and heard things from the course they are at the very forefront of my mind and will change the way I not only driver on the roads, but also how I walk on or hear them for the rest of my life”.
